InfraGard is a partnership between the FBI and the private sector. It is an association of persons who represent businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the U.S There is no cost to becoming a member and we are always on the lookout for individuals interested and willing to participate.
Following the link below will take you to the national Infragard.org site where you can fill out your application. You will be asked to give your SS# and the FBI will conduct a background check on you regardless of other clearances you may or may not currently hold or have held in the past. Membership approval generally takes 30-90 days and upon receipt you will receive a welcome email to the address you specified in your membership application.
A few notes:
- When selecting “infrastructure sectors” please only specify ones in which you currently work.
- Once you have been approved as a member, you will receive a temporary password that will give you access to the national IG portal. You MUST change your passwords every 90 days. If you wait until it expires it could be problematic.
- DO NOT LOSE YOUR SECRET QUESTION ANSWERS OR YOUR SECRET CODE. These will be established when you first setup your account. If you lose these it can be very painful and time consuming to get your account reset and can take months in some instances.
- LOG INTO THE SITE AT LEAST EVERY 60-90 DAYS! The FBI and IG national have been known to delete or make accounts inactive should you not log in on a somewhat frequent basis. It costs them time and money to keep our site running and they prefer that they be used by members.
These are important to remember. Once you become a member you will begin receiving emails from our local chapter as well as from the national organization.
We look forward to you joining our chapter and being a part of something important to the Hoosier state,
