I would first like to say how honored and privileged I am to serve as your President for 2016-17. Having been an active member of InfraGard for some time now, I have learned the value of the partnership we have with the FBI and how our activities translate into actions protecting our nation’s critical infrastructures.
I would also like to welcome you, our almost 1,000 strong Hoosier members and all that you bring to the table. Without you, we would not exist and therefore would not be in a position to assist the FBI in their endeavors.
We are looking forward this year to a stronger Board and as a result more and better programming. Some of the items we will be addressing as an organization include:
- Sector Chief Initiatives
- Bylaws Updates
- Membership and Sector specific programming activities
- Philanthropic Activities
If any of you are interested in helping , please feel free to contact me directly or any of our Board members or Sector specific personnel. We are always looking for volunteers to help with the workload.
Lastly, I would like to thank Ryan Krause from Greater Minds web and graphic designs for all the work done on the website. While it is still in transition, please feel free to stop by, drop a comment (we have thick skins) and let us know what you think and more importantly, what you want. We will be focusing the bulk of our efforts initially on getting a functional calendar working so you have an authoritative source for all your InfraGard activities. We will also be posting other area security related activities as part of our partnering efforts with organizations such as ISSA, ISACA, CLA, CERIAS, etc.
That is enough brain drain for one day. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you all at our scheduled events. Keep coming back. As I heard someone say once, it works if you work it!
